Updated, 1 star because I can’t give 0. The owners seem to think their reply a year later is funny. The apartment just isn’t for four people, I can confirm that. The sofa bed is comfortable? Its mattress is as thin as a sheet of paper, with two iron bars digging into your back. And when you’re traveling with children, you bring more than swimsuits and light clothes. There’s one wardrobe with three shelves for four people. Is that really supposed to be enough? Not at all, and we’re hardly demanding people. We’ll come back to Emporia for the setting and its very welcoming facilities, but definitely not to your tiny two-room apartment. You should rethink your standards, especially the misleading rental listing. In our case, I can’t speak for the other accommodations. Ours was advertised for four, with storage and a sea view, but it felt very cramped for that many people. The sofa bed seemed almost 30 years old, maybe 40. There was no proper storage for a 15-day stay, so our suitcases and clothes stayed on the floor. The hot water tank barely filled a quarter of the bathtub, hardly enough for four showers after the beach. It was a nightmare. The beach was only three minutes away, which helped a bit, but don’t expect a smoothie, they only had strawberry and coconut. A very mixed experience.

We had a beautiful apartment overlooking the port, with a rooftop terrace and jacuzzi. Absolutely fantastic!

It’s a quiet area, and parking is usually easy. If you have a boat, it’s next to the main canal and you can set off in five minutes. These are private apartments with seasonal, weekly, or monthly rentals.
