Port Salins

I booked a stay for friends, but they couldn't make it because of illness. I went to the hotel myself and asked the manager to move the booking to the following weekend, offering to pay the price difference. She wasn't helpful and wouldn't speak to me directly, only to the receptionist. In the end, she told me to file a complaint online. I still haven't had a reply.

We slept so well here, the beds were unbelievably comfortable, and the rooms were spotless. The view was breathtaking too. It was our first visit to Empuriabrava, and the staff were knowledgeable and helpful, even connecting us with a great boat rental place. The location works perfectly for exploring town on foot or heading to the beach. Dinner was lovely, with lots of options and astonishing presentation. Breakfast the next morning was great too, plenty of fruit and pastries, plus a nice view with coffee. I'd highly recommend staying here.

Breakfast and the staff were superb, and it's still a great place to stay. The location is lovely, though we paid for it. Even at the end of the season, our room looked quite tired, which fell short of the high-end impression I expected. Parking is on the street, and the rooftop area doesn't open until 6pm. Don't be put off by the pictures. A few simple changes could make this a 5-star stay.

I can't fault my stay. The location is perfect, and this place is Empuriabrava's best kept secret.
