La Muralla

A nice place to have a meal.

We found it comfortable and pleasant, with lovely rooms, right in the middle of the historic center. The service was friendly, attentive, and efficient. There's a café with full breakfasts and reasonably priced meals that are well prepared, plus a bar with a good choice of tapas and larger portions. It's a lovely, affordable, welcoming place to spend as many days as you like.

We had dinner as a group of 19 with a set menu that was supposed to include unlimited drinks, but they charged us for the beers we had at the bar while waiting for everyone to arrive, one per person. The servings were also on the small side. For dessert we ordered Roscón de Reyes (Three Kings' Cake), but we didn't touch it. When I complained, they brought another plate and tried to explain that the spoons were for sharing since we weren't each having a piece. Roscón with a spoon! 😂 Good grief. The menu also included one small mixed drink per person. I don't think we'll return. Now I see why the other bars in town were packed: there was just our dinner and one other table.

It's a calm, peaceful spot with a fantastic setting and views, and there's a lounge as well as the usual hotel and restaurant amenities. A good place to enjoy coffee or dinner.
