Cats were welcome, which was a real plus for us, and the nearby villages have everything you might need. The place sits between cow pasture and a field with horses, a lovely setting. It’s stocked with the essentials, though some things could do with an update. The only real downside is the narrow stretch of road at the very end.

We had such a good time in this lovely cabin. The river is just nearby, and the staff were so attentive. They even greeted us with really cute welcome kits.

We spent a week there spanning late July and August, and it was a pleasure. The views are beautiful and the place is peaceful. You can sometimes hear a little road noise, though most of the time it’s quiet or barely audible. The women who looked after us were very kind.

The house is lovely and there’s lots of outdoor space, so it works really well for a quiet break. We did miss having a dryer, since our clothes wouldn’t dry, and it would help to have spare bed linen and towels. Aside from that, the house was very good. Getting there is a little awkward at first, but you get used to the path.
