There’s an on-site wine and food shop with local meats, plus bread and cakes baked there. The hotel itself was very pleasant, and the staff were really friendly. The bar and restaurant are on the same site, with plenty of food and drink to choose from.

We really liked the Miniponche Segoviano. It’s a nice restaurant about an hour from Madrid, and we had a tasty breakfast there.

The room terrace had stunning views of the scenery, and the service and food were excellent. I enjoyed the local vino too. There’s free parking and it’s just minutes from the motorway. I’ll definitely come back, though it was very chilly in the room, with no heating, and there’s no WiFi anymore.

We arrived in bad weather, and the rather drab hotel on the edge of town might look much better on a summer’s day. The restaurant wasn’t open, so we went across the road to a very basic but friendly place. In the end, we had no food.
