The gardens, field beside the house, and friendly dogs and cat made this place so picturesque that I almost didn’t want to leave. It’s about a 25-minute walk to the beach, or less than 20 minutes into town on a fairly flat route, where there’s a supermarket and a few restaurants. There’s also a vending machine with small meals if you’d rather not go out. The rooms are thoughtfully set up, with air conditioning, individual lights, little shelves, and curtains that close all the way around the beds. The kitchen was clean, and breakfast was included: coffee, bread, jam, butter, and cereal. Laundry costs extra, but there’s a washer and dryer, plus a lovely stone basin and lines with pegs outside for drying clothes. The host was welcoming and really friendly. Everything was incredibly well kept. Maybe my favorite hostel on the Camino. I’d happily stay here again if I come back to Redondela.

The owners are very friendly, and the house and gardens are beautiful. Inside, though, things weren’t so nice. The bathrooms smelled bad and weren’t clean, and the shower didn’t drain properly. I was in an upstairs dorm where the beds creaked a lot, the pillow was lumpy, and there were no curtains.

The value for the price is hard to beat, and the owners were kind, direct, and efficient. Everything was impressively clean. It was my first real hotel stay, and it exceeded all my expectations.

We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay in this charming old building. The bathrooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and each bed had a curtain, light, and socket. There’s WiFi, board games, and a washer and dryer for laundry. The gardens were beautiful, with fruit trees and lots of places to sit or lounge. Thank you, Marcus, for being such a wonderful host. This was the best Albergue we stayed at along The Way. Highly recommend.

Buen Camino ☺️ A very unpleasant experience. I couldn’t contact the property, and they took money from my account without providing the service. I’d stay away from this place.
