It’s spotless and has updated appliances, which is the only reason I gave it one star. The place is so cramped that turning around feels like bumping into yourself, and getting through the entry door means squeezing past it just to close it before you can turn and open the apartment door. Even kneeling beside the bed, my feet were pressed against the wall, and that’s the longest part of the room. The sleeping setup was awful. The full-size memory foam bed sinks into a V when two people lie on it. We tried the couch the next night, but its foam pad sloped down at the head, so it felt like our feet were higher. The main bed was fine for one person, but I’d rather sleep on the floor than use the couch. The listing says it sleeps four, but four adults? Two adults can’t sleep comfortably on either bed. Maybe it works for four children with someone coming by to cook for them. Getting into a dining chair takes squeezing and twisting. The TV remote needed its batteries moved around just to turn it on, change channels, or adjust the volume, and there weren’t many coffee pods. Outside, people were shouting in the street as late as 3 a.m., so sleep was hard even aside from the beds. Then, before I’d even gotten dressed, a fireman knocked and asked to cross our apartment to reach the neighbor’s back door through the bedroom. I’m not sure what the neighbor had done before leaving. Parking is very limited. If you’re lucky, or maybe unlucky, you’ll have to reverse all the way out to the street while dodging cars parked on a one-way street going both ways. Be ready to walk. It’s a beautiful, clean place, but saying it sleeps four adults is almost funny.
