Hostal Restaurante Sierra De La Martina

The hosts were great, the food was excellent, and the place is very remote.

We had a fantastic meal at his restaurant, and Alfonso made us feel right at home. The service was great and every dish was delicious: cardoons, which were spectacular, oyster mushrooms, wild greens, lamb chops, and pork loin with potatoes and egg. It was traditional, healthy food, prepared really well. Thank you.

There’s no cell service here, but what first seemed like a downside ended up being the best part. It’s a quiet, tucked-away place that works for a romantic break, a trip with friends, or a getaway with kids or without. There are countless hikes around, and the homemade food is delicious. I highly recommend it.

The accessibility information for people with reduced mobility is false. I use a wheelchair and booked a room because it was described as accessible. The ramp into the hostel is incredibly dangerous. I fell and had to go to the hospital in Alcalá la Real. The road there is narrow and full of bends, with no guardrails or signs at all. It’s only suitable for people who’ve been to Nepal. They say it’s six kilometers away, but it’s much further. I didn’t even get to enjoy the room because of what happened, and they still charged me. They didn’t even ask how I was. The food is expensive for the place, and the portions aren’t generous either. What a huge disappointment. It was a nightmare.
