The reception was very good, but they gave us misleading information about there being a restaurant. There is no shop, bar, or restaurant, and the facilities 250 metres from the site are scruffy. To reach the camping area, the road passes through a "Bidon-ville" before getting to a site that looks nice. The surrounding dogs use it as a toilet. While we were there, three other campers also had dogs running loose, and nobody picked up after them. There are no bins on site either, they’re 500 metres away on the main road. We woke up to dog mess outside our tent. It was quiet after midnight, once the party in the bidon ville ended. The people were nice, but they had no idea!

They took our one glass of wine away in a takeaway cup. They had wine but no corkscrew, and the guy couldn’t find one when he went to look. It’s like Hi Di Hi, only not funny. Avoid it if you can. This place needs reinvestment or should close.

The campsite has been taken over by full-time residents, and it feels intimidating. Even taxis won’t collect people there. We called three different companies; one almost hung up when we said where we needed a pickup. We went to reception to have them book a taxi, waited half an hour, and it never arrived. It’s rough. We’d stayed a few years ago and really liked it, so it’s sad to see how much has changed. We agree with the other reviews about the dirt, noise, high prices, and other problems. The restaurant has closed too. We wish we’d read the reviews first. Never going back.

Omg!!!! Seriously??? You’ve got wine and wine glasses but no bottle opener, and you don’t care???? We own a bar and know what customer service is. You have none!

There’s no camping shop, even though it’s shown on the plans, and the pitches are small and close to your neighbours, who are generally Spanish. Shady spots are rare. The toilet areas are clean, but maintenance is pretty poor, with locks and shower heads missing. It’s reasonable for a campsite in Chiclana, and the only one in the city, but it’s much too busy, hectic, and noisy. The beach is about 5 kilometres away. Nights can be loud even after 01.00, so don’t expect an early night. If you want some rest, avoid the first part, where caravans and tents are packed side by side. The rear has more open pitches, though even there many people play music loudly and don’t respect others’ need for quiet.
