Hipotels Barrosa Palace & SPA

Even though we were there on business, the staff welcomed us with smiles and such warmth. Ricardo greeted us at reception with a big smile and a glass of champagne. The rooms were incredible. It was an amazing resort stay, and I’ll come back with my family for a holiday.

A medical emergency disrupted our cycling trip, and the staff went out of their way to help us with taxis, pharmacies, extending our stay, and making sure we had food and care afterward. They were excellent. We stayed at the Barossa Palace at the end of the season, and it’s a top-notch resort. The cleanliness, ocean views from our room, buffet breakfasts and dinners, and well-kept gym were all fantastic. I’d give it six stars if I could.

The only small issue was that the coffee capsules in the room weren’t replenished, which seemed absurd for the room price. Otherwise, I highly recommend it. It’s a very nice hotel with a lovely pool beside a beautiful, long beach. There’s a beach bar-restaurant with very good food, and the service was great.

The food was the main highlight, and the service was excellent. Staff seemed well trained; Barbara at reception, Lucia at the pool bar, Sergio at the beach bar, and the older gentleman at Enebro restaurant all stood out. The food at that restaurant was delicious. The grounds are thoughtfully landscaped and well maintained, the spa was clean and working properly, and the beach bathrooms were spotless and cared for. The room was spacious, with a glass water bottle, coffee and tea, a very quiet small fridge, and air conditioning you can adjust independently. Room cleaning could have been a little better, and a few more bathroom amenities would be welcome. The hotel is well designed, maintained, and managed, with very good service. It delivers a standard high-end resort experience, though I didn’t find it especially charming. Families wanting children’s activities or entertainment may be disappointed: there’s no kids’ pool or family activities, though families with young children can use a shallow section of the pool and the beach is easy to access.
