Aparthotel ILUNION Sancti Petri

The restaurant was the worst part for us: the food was really poor. Luckily, if you have a car, there are plenty of good places to eat nearby. Cleanliness was also below standard. The kitchen, crockery and other facilities were dirty, so we had to wash everything before using it. There was lots of noisy maintenance in the mornings, work that should have been done earlier, but things still weren’t properly cleaned. The front desk staff weren’t very friendly. My son speaks Spanish and asked several times about booking surf lessons, but they wouldn’t even rent him a bodyboard. We booked months ahead and paid much more than we would have by going straight to the hotel on the day we arrived in Sancti Petri. This wasn’t our first visit. The nearby beach used to make this our favourite place in the area, but sadly we’ll have to look elsewhere now.

We spent nine days here and would happily recommend it. On arrival, we were given a larger room that looked newly redone and was very comfortable. The staff made the stay, especially the restaurant team, who were so friendly and attentive. My son looked forward to meals because he’d get his lolly pop afterwards! They also surprised us with cava for our 8th anniversary, which was lovely. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back. Thanks for a beautiful stay!

This was our third stay at Hotel Ilunion Tartessus Sancti Petri with our family, and we’ll keep returning. The comfortable rooms fit a large family easily, the location is perfect, and the atmosphere is wonderful. It’s one of the best hotels in Sancti Petri, and the service feels like it’s at a 5-star level even though it’s officially a 4-star hotel. At check-in, the payment terminal charged my card in US dollars instead of euros without asking me. That caused an overpayment of about €60, so I requested a refund. For a while, we couldn’t access our funds, and the hotel hadn’t received payment either. It could have become a major problem and spoiled the trip, but the staff were patient, attentive and caring. They worked on it right away, processed the refund, kept in touch, and eventually covered the difference from their own pocket, even though they had no formal obligation to do that. We felt truly valued. What might have been a stressful mess became a real example of hospitality. There’s plenty of choice at breakfast, but the food isn’t the best. The churros were raw inside, and the coffee machine didn’t make good coffee. With so many better coffee machines available, there’s no reason to serve bad coffee. Rooms are cleaned only once every three days. One of the pleasures of staying in a hotel is coming back to a clean room each day. They advertise free parking, but spaces are very limited, with hardly any available. The alternative is their underground parking at 10€ a day. The hotel itself is very nice, and the staff are friendly.
