La casa azul

The owners were super helpful, and the apartments were spacious, comfortable, and clean. It's close to the beaches but on a quiet street, and the garden and outdoor lounging area are especially lovely. A really beautiful, well-kept place. Everything was perfect. :)

The pool is nice, the area is quiet, the service is good, and the price is affordable. But the rooms are a bit small and the mattresses only average. There are two bathrooms, one ensuite, but the shower water doesn't get hot. Not every room has a mosquito screen, so bugs get in. That's understandable with all the greenery, but still annoying. The house gets very hot, and the only air conditioner is in the living room. It doesn't cool the air, just seems to work like a fan, as if it needs recharging.

We stayed a week in the big house with the family, and it was clean. I agree pets should be allowed, but having them roam freely, do their business everywhere, and enter other people's homes is another matter. Only one room has a mosquito screen.

We went a couple of weeks ago expecting something quite different, honestly. The house is split right down the middle with another home, so there's no privacy and you can hear the neighbors. They say the pool is private, but everyone shares it. The owners, their in-laws, and their sister also live on the same grounds, despite it being described as private. Dogs bark every morning, around 8 a.m. The house smells bad, and ants get to any food left out in seconds. The bathroom water is scalding, so you have to wash your hands or brush your teeth quickly. As the saying goes, there's a long way between what you expect and what you get.
