In June 2025 I celebrated my wedding anniversary at Aparthotel Las Dunas. It was a pleasant stay, with a few things that could have been better. The best part was the location, right across from La Barrosa Beach, with direct access along wooden walkways. The buffet had lots of choice and the food was tasty. The gardens were well maintained, the pools were clean, including the children’s pool, and the atmosphere was calm and family friendly. June also brought mild weather and fewer crowds, which made for a relaxing visit. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, though the furniture and infrastructure could use updates. In room 146, some loose tiles made noise, which was a new experience for me. Parking at €12 per day felt a bit expensive, and the children’s entertainment was limited compared with high season. I’d recommend Aparthotel Las Dunas to families or couples looking for a quiet beach holiday. The location, comfortable rooms, and good food make it a solid option outside peak season. A little more recognition for guests and some improvements to the facilities would make it even better. I’d mentioned the anniversary when booking, but this was the only hotel where it wasn’t acknowledged at all. Even a small gesture would have made the stay more memorable.

The suites are huge, with all the utensils you need, plus big, comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms. There’s a very wide beach about 14km long close by. Excellent, and I’ll definitely come back.

The beach right in front of the aparthotel is beautiful, and the kitchen is good enough for a longer stay. The hotel is a little old but clean, and the service is friendly. Breakfast really wasn’t very good, though. We didn’t try lunch or dinner.

The beach is easy to reach, and the sea was lovely for swimming. We also had a nice balcony view, and the air conditioning worked really well. The hotel grounds are large, but it never got too noisy. Breakfast was okay, and the staff were kind and helpful. I’d happily recommend the place. The only thing we missed was kitchen towels.

The walk to the beach is really convenient, just two minutes along a private path from the apartments. There’s plenty of variety in the plants around the grounds, and everything is well cared for. The apartments are fine, though the furniture feels a bit dated, and we sometimes noticed a damp smell. Wi-Fi is available in every room, but the signal and speed are very poor, so don’t rely on it. Kids’ activities are good for ages four and up. The staff are friendly, but breakfast wasn’t what I’d expect from a four-star hotel.
