Hotel Rural Aqua Luna Spa

After driving three and a half hours, we found nobody answering the door. We’d booked through Smartbox, and when we called, a woman said she didn’t think we had a reservation because they were full and it had probably been canceled. She mentioned medical problems and said she had enough to deal with already. Then we were passed to someone who said an email had gone out the night before saying the booking was canceled because Smartbox hadn’t paid them. That wasn’t our fault, and telling us less than 12 hours ahead was unfair when we’d booked two months earlier. The booking still didn’t show as canceled, and we lost fuel and time. I’ll now have to spend more to file a consumer complaint. When I hung up to call Smartbox, they called back. I expected an apology, but was told I was being rude, and when I asked what she meant, she repeated it. There was no empathy at all.

The owners were friendly and the service was great, and the food had a delicious Italian touch. We stopped at this small, cozy hotel while riding back toward Asturias. I’d happily stay there again.

Lilo and his wife made us feel very welcome during our one-night stay, with breakfast and dinner included. The dinner Lilo cooked was incredible, and since it was my wife's birthday, they brought out a bottle of champagne for us to toast. Such a thoughtful gesture. We’ll come back for the spa and to have that pasta from their mother’s recipe again. Definitely recommend it.

The homemade food was made with love, and I had a really relaxing massage from gentle, skilled hands. Lilo and Maria are such kind, welcoming people. It’s a lovely spot to unwind and enjoy the fresh air. Thank you so much, we’ll be back.
