We booked a room, then called five minutes later to check whether dogs were allowed. They said no and told us to cancel by email ourselves. For a mistake that took five minutes to catch, they still charged us half the room price. Hard to see much decency in that.

The hotel is quiet and handy if you're driving, and the price is reasonable. The restaurant needs work, though. Breakfast at €11 didn't feel worth it. Much of the menu seemed pre-cooked: the stew was good, but the corvina had been reheated and was dry. Dessert was good.

The restaurant staff were the best part of our stay, really kind and attentive. Breakfast was tasty, and while the choices were limited, there was enough. Our family room was spacious, with two full bathrooms, but dated and hot. We had to ask to move because the first room wasn't clean. The sheets and pillows had stains and bits of dirt, and there were clothes in the drawers along with tags that seemed to be from previous guests. The replacement room was cleaner, though one pillow was still dirty. One shower head also didn't work.

The grounds are amazing, and there's free parking on site. The hotel itself is fine.

We arrived after 1 a.m. and were welcomed warmly. The staff were very nice, and the room was really good for what we paid.
