Apartaments Cales de Ponent

It's a very peaceful area, with only a handful of nearby restaurants. The small beach is about 50m away. Rooms are clean and well equipped, though the mattresses are quite hard. Hotel facilities are good, and the breakfasts are amazing.

The location is excellent, and the pool was clean with plenty of loungers. Staff at the pool bar and breakfast were friendly, and the breakfast buffet was good. The rooms are very small and tired. Air conditioning is set to 22C, barely cools the rooms, and only reaches one bedroom, leaving the other far too hot. The outside terraces and balconies are tiny and offer little privacy. This might be a good choice at a lower price, but it's extremely expensive for such a basic place. We wouldn't stay again.

We were very happy with our stay. The location made it easy to explore other parts of the island, and renting a car worked well. We could park right by the hotel, with spaces always available for us, though it was early May and not yet high season. The staff were incredibly kind and friendly, and spoke fluent English. Our rooms were clean and bright, but we could have used extra blankets, and the pillows were hard. Breakfast was amazing, with a good variety of food for everyone.

We had a great four-night stay in October with our 10-month-old daughter. The area is extremely quiet, which suited us, and a beautiful beach is only a two-minute walk away. There are a couple of restaurants and supermarkets close by, plus a fairly easy 15-minute walk to Cala Blanca for more options. The apartment was ideal and all the staff were great. Breakfast was included, brilliant, and well run, with lots of choice. The pool area was a nice place to relax in the sun, although the water was a little too cold to enjoy. Highly recommended.
