Hotel Ses 5 Claus

The WiFi was the one real letdown. At times it wouldn’t connect at all, and it kept cutting out. We also had trouble finding free parking, which may be down to the great spot right in the heart of the city. Inside, the room was clean, comfortable, nicely furnished, and well equipped, with a roomy shower and comfy bed. There’s coffee and pastries at reception. It feels more like a private guest house than a hotel, and I actually loved that feeling.

If you pick this place for its location, be prepared to give up some peace and quiet. Our room was right by the reception desk, where staff spoke loudly in the mornings, and we could hear every footstep from the guests upstairs. The place is very, very clean and has a nice terrace. It feels more like an Airbnb than a hotel, with just your room and a basic lobby.

The owner helped us work through a couple of challenges, and I appreciated how willing he was to help. We stayed four nights at Ses 5 Claus, very close to the city centre. There’s free street parking nearby. Our room was nice, though the bed was on the small side and we made it work. The hotel currently gives a voucher for a Spanish-style breakfast at a nearby bar instead of serving a buffet. Online reviews of the bar aren’t great, but we found it better than they suggested.

With just five rooms, this little hotel felt like home instead of a big chain. Breakfast had everything you’d need, including local products, and the room was spotless, nicely decorated, and had a really comfortable bed. Everything is carefully looked after. It’s a short walk from the old town, with free parking on the streets behind. I loved staying here and will definitely recommend it to friends.
