The entertainment team were excellent and made the stay really enjoyable. Staff were friendly and always smiling, and the quiet setting is well located, with a small cove below the hotel where you can enjoy the sea without a car. Supermarkets, buses, and car rentals are all nearby. The grounds and pools are well maintained, but the rooms could do with renovation. The front door and wooden shutters are in poor shape, and there’s no Wi-Fi in the rooms. Food is the hotel’s weak point: meals are repetitive, choice is limited, there were no Menorcan specialties during the week, and the food was cold. With only one microwave and two coffee machines for a dining room and two terraces, the queues get long. All-inclusive drinks aren’t very good either, and you have to pay extra for espresso in a cup. Otherwise coffee comes in a plastic cup.

We were happy with our stay, although a water leak meant we had to move to another apartment. Management gave us a bottle of water to make up for the inconvenience. It’s quiet around the hotel if you’re away from the pool, but the Marmara staff could sometimes be very noisy. The desserts weren’t very varied, and we often got the same ones. There was also too little fruit, such as bananas and dates.

Good value for money, and the location works well for exploring the island, though you’ll need a car or public transport. The beach below the hotel isn’t anything special, and the complex could do with some updating. Rooms are basic but spacious, and although there’s no air conditioning, we didn’t find them too hot. All the staff speak French, and the service is commendable.
