We loved the food and the rooms, they really stood out. The hospitality was just as memorable. Mr. Pedro did everything he could to help us and was an amazing host. Simply magnificent.

Casa de Castro ended up being our favorite of the three stops between Bilbao and A Coruña. It's a family-run place, and Rosa and Pedro are genuinely lovely. The house is well kept, with clean rooms furnished nicely, and the included breakfast was fresh and superb. The beaches are close, and it's also a handy base for visiting the Picos de Europa, A Coruña, Santiago de Compostela and other places. I've seen a lot of Spain, but nowhere else have I come across English spoken so well. That was lucky for my daughter, since I can get by in Spanish. This is the sort of place that makes Spain special.

A lovely little oasis out in the middle of nowhere. The rooms and food were very nice, and the hosts were great.

Keep in mind there's no elevator or access ramp for people with reduced mobility. The staff were very attentive, and the services offered were very good. Our room was spacious, though we could hear road noise. A very nice hotel, highly recommended.

We paid a fairly high nightly rate, so the room's quirks stood out: it had a sloping ceiling, and the shower was awkward for someone 185 cm tall. The location beside the road isn't ideal either, particularly if your room faces it. Still, the place is very nice, tastefully decorated, and the staff are competent. These may be minor drawbacks, but they're worth considering given the price.
