We arrived in a town we’d never heard of, with a huge castle and so much history. The couple running the house were lovely, the rooms were clean, breakfast was nice, and there was a good atmosphere and plenty of stories. Nobody spoke English, but we could still understand each other easily. Hand on heart, this is the best accommodation I’ve stayed in so far. It felt like a hidden gem in September last year, and I’d absolutely stay here again if I came back to Coca.

We visited in September 2022. Our Spanish wasn’t great, and our hosts didn’t speak English, but that didn’t get in the way. The room was small and the kitchen was shared, yet this was genuinely the best B&B I’ve stayed in. Coca is a small town in Castille & Léon, and the house even had a nice breakfast room. Such lovely owners!

José, the owner, made the stay especially lovely. He was warm and friendly, and shared suggestions for food, routes, and sights without pushing anything. It felt like he really wanted us to enjoy his home area. The house itself is welcoming, clean, and well kept, with spacious rooms and private bathrooms. It’s a great place to switch off without giving up comfort, and the bed was especially comfortable. Coca is a special place to visit too, with cobbled streets, a striking castle, and a peaceful atmosphere. Staying at Casa de la Paca made it feel a bit like living there for a few days.
