Checkin Montserrat

The bedroom was nice, but the balconies all touch each other, so there's no privacy at all. The bathroom is poorly laid out too. It's too small, even though the space could have been arranged differently to make it much bigger.

Breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The area is very quiet on the edge of Collbato, with a beautiful view of Montserrat, and Barcelona is about a half-hour drive away. The room was otherwise nice and clean, with modern furniture and appliances, including a small fridge and a large TV. It did feel a bit warm, and sound carried through the walls because the rooms aren't very well insulated.

We came for a large family gathering around a wedding, and this was a great fit. The hotel hosts small and medium corporate events, so it suited our non-tourist gathering well. It's a little out of the way, so I might not suggest it for people visiting Barcelona as tourists. The hotel is clean and modern, set in a quiet mountain area with lots of fresh air. Our room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and the linens clean. The bathroom had modern fixtures, including a rain-style shower with plenty of hot water, and non-slip tiles. The square ceramic sink had a stopper and was big enough for me to wash a few clothes. There was a large TV and a mini-fridge, though no microwave.

This was my second time here and I'm still satisfied. A few things could be better: slippers would be useful, and there were no tissues in the bathroom. Also, a note for the breakfast staff member with curly hair: please smile. You seem sad and angry in front of customers, which doesn't come across well, especially early in the morning. ☺️
