Gran Hostal El Chiscón

We loved our stop here on the way south, and would happily come back. The hotel has that lovely, typically Spanish feel of the kind of place you found before big companies started putting up hotels. The village is beautiful too, and though it’s off the main route, it’s well worth the detour. Breakfast had fresh churros, baguettes, pastries, fruit, and juice. The staff were efficient in the evening and especially helpful in the morning.

The staff were lovely and patient while I tried to speak Spanish, and the room was clean and comfortable. We had a very relaxing weekend in this lovely town, and I’d certainly come back. Thank you.

I’ll definitely stay here again next time I walk the Camino de Madrid. It’s a great little hostal, with clean rooms, excellent restaurant food, and staff who are really helpful.

There are several outdoor terraces where you can sit in the sun. The hotel is lovely and very clean, and the staff are attentive. The restaurant has a good menu and is very good value.
