Casa Rural Casa Pipo

Pipo and Marga made us feel so welcome, and the breakfast was delicious, all fresh, natural ingredients. Their country house is in Sales, a small village in Colunga, in a lovely quiet spot to unwind. Colunga is a 2 km walk, while other towns in the Principality are easy to get to by car. The breathtaking Mirador del Fitu is 14 km away by car. Thanks for everything!

Our main reason for writing is to warn people thinking of booking this property through Booking.com. We had followed Booking.com's terms, booked at what looked like a reasonable price, and received confirmation, but the next day the landlord sent an unfriendly message saying we had to arrive between 3 pm and 6 pm or the whole booking would be canceled and the money kept. Then we were told the listed price was wrong and we'd need to pay more or cancel ourselves, even though canceling would cost the full amount. The rest was handled by phone. Unsure what to do, we contacted customer service and got excellent help. They resolved it for us at no charge and mentioned this wasn't the first time a similar problem had come up at this particular property. We're not criticizing the property itself, just sharing what happened with our Booking.com reservation.

Such lovely hosts, and the rooms are a really good price. Everything was clean, with nice views, and breakfast was delicious. That orange juice! A nice spot to save on the map.

Sales is such a peaceful place, and the house and rooms are fantastic, clean, comfortable, and well looked after. Marga and Pipo are warm, welcoming hosts. Breakfast was amazing, especially those tomatoes Pipo grows, you won't find them elsewhere. It's close to Lastres and the Jurassic Museum. We'll come back, thanks for everything.
