Mar del Sueve

Our room was gorgeous, with old stone and woodwork that made it feel warm and cozy. The photos really don't do the place justice, and everyone working there was so kind. We were already 300 miles into our Camino when we stayed. Dinner was delicious, and I was so grateful to find a vegetarian-friendly Peregrino Menu. They also had the best cheesecake I've ever had in my life. I'd definitely recommend staying here, especially if you're hiking the Del Norte!

The garden and outdoor seating area are magnificent, relaxing, and quirky, with plenty to look at while you sip a beer or wine from the bar. I had dinner at the hotel one night. The choices were limited, but the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The Continental Breakfast was lovely too. My bedroom was just right, with a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom and shower. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and happy to help or give guidance. Mar Del Sueve Hotel is a beautiful, quaint place in a central spot, one minute on foot from Colunga town centre and three minutes from the bus station. I had a wonderful experience and highly recommend a stay.

Gemma, who I believe is the manager, was amazing, so kind, friendly, and accommodating. The whole team was attentive and wonderful. My room was large, clean, and quiet, and the hotel itself was clean with lots of interesting details. The food was yummy too. I stayed one night while walking the Camino del Norté and had such a nice time. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. Thank you!

I only stayed for an afternoon and evening before carrying on with my Camino, but I came away feeling completely refreshed. Mar Del Sueve felt like a magical hideaway in Colunga, Spain. In my opinion, it's a six-star hotel. The ambiance, hospitality, and accommodations were perfection, and Gemma is a true gem. Muchas gracias!!!!
