Everything was very clean and well looked after, and the place was fine for spending a week, even if some of the furniture could use an update. I’d read comments saying the beds were uncomfortable, but I found them acceptable. I suppose it depends on what you like. They changed the sheets during the week, while towels were changed after four days. That was great, since clothes take a long time to dry in the north.

The views were beautiful, and the place was quiet and well located. Our apartment came with towels, an iron and all the kitchen utensils we needed. The parking space was a little narrow, but useful since we didn’t have to hunt for a spot. I’m giving it fewer stars because I found it quite expensive.

The apartments are clean, the mattresses are clean too, and they’re equipped with more than enough. The appliances are in good condition, even if some aren’t new. Prices in northern Spain tend to be higher than elsewhere in the country. The sofa beds are extremely dangerous if you’re not agile. Decor is bland and a bit dated, and lighting and signage vary from one apartment to another. The pool is a highlight when the weather’s nice.

We arrived and were delighted with the apartment, despite having brought our own kitchen things, dishcloth and soap because of the reviews. We booked directly through the apartments’ website and got a 10% discount. Hotel staff were very friendly, and underground parking was included. Our three-person apartment had two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with a single. The mattresses were comfortable, if a little soft, though that’s personal preference. There were two large wardrobes and plenty of drawers. The apartment was in a corner, and the other rooms looked out over the Pontifical University with beautiful views. The kitchen was well equipped with an iron, pots, pans and plenty of plates and glasses, plus a kit with a small sachet of dish soap, a sponge and a dishcloth. The bathroom had a shower screen, and they did provide one roll of toilet paper, which I didn’t see as a problem. The furniture wasn’t new, but ours wasn’t bad. We saw another apartment with much older furniture, so I think it depends on which one you get. The hotel is on the ground floor of the same building, with the apartments upstairs. We’ll be back.
