We had an easy walk into the center of Comillas, and Diego at reception was especially friendly and spoke excellent English. Breakfast was a very good buffet with all the usual choices. Our large room had an excellent sea view, a fridge, and a good-sized bathroom with a shower. Everything was clean, though a little worn, and that didn't take away from the stay. Dinner was lovely: crayfish, a good choice of local red wine, and their lemon tart specialty, which was delicious and didn't disappoint.

We had a really excellent fish meal at the restaurant, which looks out over the beach.

We stopped for merienda, and the service was exceptional. The beachside location is beautiful. The room, unfortunately, was uncomfortable: after showering, it took hours for the bathroom to dry. It felt like we were in a damp, badly ventilated basement.

Jose and his wife were adorable, and the location was perfect, just a five-minute walk to the city center. We stayed for three nights in October for a friend's wedding, with my husband and three other couples in rooms next to each other. Our first-floor room was brand new, and all the rooms have amazing ocean views. There's a cute bar and breakfast area, too. We recommend it 100%!
