No 17 Competa

We spent a lovely 10 nights at No 17 and came home feeling completely relaxed, already wishing for another trip to Competa. We’ve visited a few times because it’s such a charming, friendly place. Mornings were mostly for walking, then we’d come back to relax on the roof terrace by the great plunge pool. No 17 was comfortable, clean, and very well equipped, and we appreciated the welcome basket with a couple of bottles of wine and some beer. The Competa Art Walk was on while we were there, and we enjoyed seeing all the art, there were more artists than we’d realized. We ate at Cortijo Paco, El Pampano, Oscar's in Canillas, Bar El Acebuchal, and Casa Paco. Adrianos was also fantastic for cocktails and sunset views.

The roof terrace was amazing, with views of the mountains, sea, and church, plus a pool to cool off in on hot days. The house itself was lovely and clean, and had everything we needed. Nicki and Paul were great hosts, communication was easy, and the No. 17 website had useful practical information and good recommendations. We spent 10 wonderful days in the house and beautiful town of Competa, and look forward to staying with them again.

Nicki and Paul made the whole three-week stay feel special, with great communication before and during our visit. They sent all the information we needed and answered every question, so Paul and Nicki had everything covered. We arrived to a welcome basket with food, wine, and delicious homemade orange cake. The house was decorated for Christmas, with presents for the whole family under the tree. The place is cozy, stylish, finished to a high standard, and in a great location. The beds were comfy, bathrooms lovely, and kitchen had all the appliances we needed. It works for a short or long holiday, and we loved the rooftop terrace, plunge pool, and stunning views on sunny days. Competa is a charming, welcoming village with good restaurants and food, and beautiful views wherever you go. We fell in love with both the house and the village. Coming back to 'home' after our daily travels was always lovely. The experience exceeded our expectations, with care in every detail, and we’d give Nicki and Paul and No.17 more than five stars. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely return. Thank you for having us!

The roof terrace and plunge pool were an exceptional bonus, and the property has everything for a relaxing, high-quality self-catering break. The village and square are a delight, with so many good places to eat that there wasn’t enough time to revisit them all. We also went to nearby villages and loved the scenery and sunsets. No17 is a fantastic property in a fantastic setting, and the quality of the furnishings, fittings, comfy beds, linen, and towels really impressed us. I’d recommend it without hesitation.
