The stone patio behind the apartment has a barbecue and a lovely table and chairs, so we could sit and take in the surroundings. We went in May, when the green wheat fields and poppies looked beautiful. Clos 2 was comfortable, clean, and well equipped, with room for three or four people. Marina, the owner, was very kind. It’s a great place to switch off, and Colomí, just 10 km away, is a good spot for a meal.
We barely left the house during our two-night writing retreat. It stayed a comfortable temperature even though I’d worried it might get hot, and the owners were really friendly and easy to reach. A very comfortable place, definitely recommended.
I went to Conesa expecting to be bored in a little-known corner of the world. The stay was a gift, and I’d barely packed anything, figuring I’d see hardly anyone and have little to do. Instead, the landscape around Conca de Barberà was stunning, with calm mountains and a sky in the afternoon that I’d never seen in such clear, beautiful colors. The sun on the fields made the place feel almost like paradise. Conesa itself won me over straight away. Walking through the streets and squares felt like stepping back in time, with the medieval past seeming to cling to the stone. Then I got to El Clos, which looked like it belonged in a film. The stone walls and wooden ceiling beams were beautifully kept, straight and clean, with their color just right. The decor is simple but tasteful, the furniture is good quality, and the apartment had absolutely everything needed for a stay. I wished I could have stayed longer. A very lovely woman welcomed me and explained everything carefully. Her manner was delicate, and she gave me the peace and privacy I was after while still making me feel looked after. I also found out they have something like a Secret Garden, and there’s a Mingolf too, which was the icing on the cake. I recommend it completely. Who’s up for discovering it?
We stayed on the night of November 15th after a celebration with friends in a nearby town. Check-in was quick, and they kindly worked around our circumstances, including the fact that we had a pet with us. The house and rooms have a lot of charm, and the Conca area is spectacular to explore. 👍🏼🙌🏼
I was there for one work night and left wishing I’d stayed longer. It’s a really quiet spot, good for getting away from everyday life, with peaceful places nearby for a walk. The owners looked after me very well, and the house is luxurious. Only gripe: the knives barely cut, haha. I’ll come back with the family for sure.
