The restaurant was good, and its staff were lovely. The shop’s opening hours are great too. It gets busy and noisy in high season, but our neighbours were all charming and considerate. The beach is very crowded, especially on weekends. Roche is an easy drive and park if you’re after a bigger beach.

I’ve never been to a worse campsite. If you want a quiet break and a decent night’s sleep, avoid this place. After sunset the whole site turns into a party and it doesn’t quiet down until around 3am. For two nights running, a group of about 20 drunk neighbours right opposite us shouted and drank all night, while kids played and people rode bikes and roller skates after midnight. We and other campers contacted security several times. They asked the group to calm down a couple of times, then left as though the issue was resolved. Neither the neighbours nor security took the threat of calling the police seriously. Reception isn’t staffed at night, and nobody answered customer service calls. None of the campsite managers seemed to consider evicting this group, even though they were clearly breaking several site rules. It’s a disgrace.

The A-Frame was clean and comfortable, and we slept amazingly well. It had everything we needed. The bathrooms were clean too, although some repairs are needed. Arriving after 11 PM was easy, and we checked in the next morning. We’d visit again!

The pool was great, the bar was very good, and the campsite was generally well maintained. Drinks at the bar are expensive, though, and while we didn’t use the barbecue area, it looked fantastic. We stayed in a bungalow for four nights in mid September. It was OK, but the bed was so uncomfortable that sleeping was difficult. My bigger issue was the other guests: constant shouting and disregard for the campsite’s no-music policy. Maybe that doesn’t bother everyone, but I go camping for some peace and quiet, and this site didn’t offer that. The noise never let up, and people here clearly don’t respect those around them. Nice campsite, but I wouldn’t return.

I spent three nights here in June 2023, after six weeks in Spain, and this was the best campsite I’d stayed at. The site is immaculately kept, very green, and the modern toilets are clean and fresh-smelling. The staff, from reception to the cleaners and maintenance team, were always friendly and cheerful. There’s a short walk to the beach through stunning natural scenery, with beautiful coves along the clifftop in both directions. Loved my stay at Campi g El Faro. Can’t fault it.
