We had a relaxing week in Conil, staying in a suite among lovely, well-kept gardens. We'd booked one bedroom, but since we were Jet2's first customers there, they upgraded us to a two-bedroom suite. It felt like a private villa, with a courtyard and a rooftop terrace furnished with sun loungers and seats. There's a bit of a walk down to miles of sandy beach with chingueritas, and farther along you reach the old town and promenade. Alohandra at reception gave us maps, pointed out places to see, and shared the bus times for our excellent trip to Cadiz. It's a very traditional resort, with no sunbeds on the beach, but you can rent chairs from the hotel.

Birds were all around us, and the sea was very close. The garden and little pool surround just a few houses and apartments, with friendly staff and distinctive furniture in every apartment, each with a classy Spanish touch. We love staying here and hope to return. Let's come here and keep unique spots like this Cortijo from being taken over by large hotels.

The apartments sit beside a beautifully landscaped, well-maintained park. Our place was cozy and charming, a short distance from the beach, and the staff were welcoming and accommodating. We'll come back!

We enjoyed our stay last year (2017) so much that we're back for a week in the same little maisonette this year. If you can, go and see the houses and apartments in person to pick one. If you can't, search online for the ones that catch your eye, because the website doesn't really show the accommodation at its best. It's a good, quiet location, about a five-minute walk from the beach, though the route is quite steep, and maybe a 15-minute stroll to the bars and restaurants in the center of Conil. There's a bar and restaurant right in front of the complex that's actually pretty good, and shops and supermarkets aren't far away. I love this place and can't recommend it highly enough.

Rustic accommodation in different sizes, clean and equipped with all the modern comforts. It's hard to describe, but it feels just right, and the beautiful beach is only two minutes away.
