Villa Mayo Apartamento C

My wife had to be rushed to hospital with acute appendicitis the day before our September 6th to 13th booking, and she needed surgery. We kept the accommodation updated, then told them on the 8th that we had to cancel because she was so unwell she couldn’t even walk. We hoped they could rebook the week and avoid losing money. By the 10th, they had booked the place again for the full week. We understood being charged for the first four days, but asked for a refund for the dates they had rebooked, and they refused. We acted in good faith and provided all the documentation about what happened, but felt deceived. In the days after surgery they contacted us asking whether we were still coming, apparently so they could book it again. They even said it would be hard to rebook, though we could see through the Airbnb app that it had been. We never stayed there, so I can’t comment on the accommodation itself, only the people running it. They’re unscrupulous and took advantage of our misfortune for personal gain.

The host was warm and helpful, and suggested lovely beaches, restaurants, and other places nearby. Villa Mayor was just what we wanted for a few restful days, a quiet little house near the coast. My daughters loved the fantastic pool, and the beds were comfortable with clean mattresses. The location worked well for visiting several coves, and Conil was only a 10-minute drive away.

We had a wonderful week, and the value for money was incredible. Charo was kind, attentive, and always available. She even shared a great guide to places our little one would enjoy. The shared pool felt practically private, since we had it to ourselves every time we went, and it was clearly well maintained, filled and cleaned along with the rest of the facilities. We love our summers in the south and will definitely return. It’s absolutely worth it.

Charo made sure we had everything we needed and helped make the stay as pleasant as possible. The setting is ideal, and everything was clean, including the very well-kept pool. Getting around does take a car, since the beach is a bit far to carry all your things, but that didn’t bother us.
