Los Pozos de la Nieve

The outdoor pool area is lovely, and the historic building sits in a great spot for exploring and hiking. The individual apartments make it easy to cater for yourself. The only letdown was the abysmal Wi-Fi and phone reception.

The beds and blankets were really comfortable, and there was a nice pool. The nearby small town has everything you need for a stay. The building is beautiful, and the owners are friendly and very hospitable.

We stayed in the Estrella apartment, which has three bedrooms, one en-suite bathroom, and a shared toilet downstairs. It was spotless, nicely decorated, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The history and changes the place has gone through are interesting, and it feels very pleasant inside. The location is lovely, though the town is a bit of a walk. It's close enough on foot, but the road is risky, with lots of bends and no shoulder. We slept in the attic, which isn't separated from the rest of the apartment by a door or other insulation. The floorboards creaked so much it sounded like elephants were walking overhead.

Dirk and Dominique had thoughtfully set up a crib, highchair, and bathtub for our little one. They were very kind and walked us through the estate's history as well. The restoration is a real work of art, with all the historical details respected. Everything felt welcoming and carefully planned. Such a wonderful place to relax and switch off. Thanks for everything, we'll be back!
