Enca S D Emporda

We’d happily stay here again. The hosts were attentive, the accommodations were great, and the location in Baix Emporda worked really well. Breakfast was very good too, and the cappuccinos were awesome.

Jordi, his family and the team made us feel so welcome. Breakfast was great every morning, and they kept bringing us firewood. The honesty bar was handy as well. Our Indià room had incredible views and a really relaxing feel, with a beautiful design that suited the area perfectly. We visited in cold weather, but the heating worked brilliantly and the wood-burning stove was such a treat. We loved our stay and didn’t want to leave.

For exploring the countryside and medieval villages, this is a great base, and Girona is fairly close too. The beaches are quite far away, though, so keep that in mind if you're planning a beach holiday. We spent four nights at this peaceful, beautiful inn in the quiet but picturesque village of Casavells. Our room was very large and comfortable, the breakfasts were excellent, and the hosts and staff were warm and welcoming. We really enjoyed the calm atmosphere, and would highly recommend it for a romantic getaway.

The hotel has a lovely range of rooms, each with its own artistic style. You can tell how much care and dedication the wonderful couple put into the house. The drive through fields, trees and flowers sets the scene for the peaceful village. I had a wonderful stay, and would definitely recommend it as a place to explore the Empordà.
