Very clean hotel in an ideal spot, near the center and with plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from.

The location made getting around the city really easy, which was the best part. The room was on the small side, but clean and practical, and for the price I didn’t mind. I had a pretty good stay. If you need a simple, budget-friendly place in a convenient spot, it’s a solid option.

The location worked well, with an easy walk from the station and to the main sights. We also liked the garden route past the food hall. The shower had good pressure and temperature, and there was free tea and coffee to take away from reception. But we barely slept. The room was boiling when we arrived, and although air conditioning was advertised, guests can't adjust it. Reception explained that the hotel controls the temperature, and there were no fans. The walls carried everything: the neighboring shower pipes, ordinary conversation, and even people unpacking. Getting a hairdryer and using the safe meant repeated trips up and down the stairs. The dryer required a refundable €15 deposit, while the safe cost €1.80 a day plus another €15 deposit. Sorting that out, along with the air conditioning, had my partner going back and forth three or four times.

The front desk didn't seem to care, and the service felt nonexistent. Rooms are very basic, with some so cramped you can hardly turn around without bumping into things. They look clean at first, but closer up we found hair and dirt on the blankets and floor. The beds were uncomfortable, and the pillows weren't adequate. There was sometimes a buzzing sound in the room, like high-voltage wires, though I doubt that was actually the source. It's about a ten-minute walk from the railway station, on a side street with a tavern opposite. Restaurants and an Irish pub are on the main road around the corner. I wouldn't recommend it or stay again unless I had no other choice.
