AC Hotel Córdoba by Marriott

The noise from roadworks and traffic made sleep very difficult in room 102, which is at the junction. Reversing vehicles and crossing signals kept beeping; the traffic alone might not have woken me, and I know the road noise is outside the hotel's control, but it was still a major problem. Check-in, at least, was efficient. The location is a bit of a walk from the main areas, though the route through gardened paths is fairly easy. My room is comfortable, with a coffee machine, tea facilities, working WiFi, and toiletries including shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion. But my first meal was extremely disappointing. I came with a tour group after a hotel in Granada that wasn't good for vegetarian diets, and here they served me only the salad bed that came with everyone else's salmon starter. I'd said earlier I expected a substitute for the meat, and the message reached the chef, who still chose not to provide one. A four-star hotel should adapt a meal positively instead of simply removing the meat and leaving a vegetarian guest with garnish. That affects the guest experience, and it's NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

The reception staff were so sweet and helpful, and breakfast was fantastic, with generous coffee available all day. The rooms were super, too. It's an easy walk from the main train station, and paid parking is very close by.

We only stopped by the lounge and weren't hotel guests, but Ms. Suzanne still made us feel valued and went out of her way to help. Her warm welcome, kindness, and professional, positive manner reflect wonderfully on Marriott. She's a remarkable representative of the brand and deserves recognition and continued success in her career.

The room was on the small side, and breakfast had only a few options. We also tried the hotel's fine dining dinner, but the flavors felt minimal and didn't leave much of an impression. Still, AC Hotel Córdoba is clean, modern, and comfortable, with high-speed Wi-Fi and practical touches for travelers. I especially appreciated the thoughtfully placed makeup mirror in the room. A few improvements to the food would make the stay better.
