Apartamentos Esencia de Córdoba

After the power went out, we were left without electricity or heating, which made the apartment uncomfortable and difficult to stay in, especially at night in the cold. We contacted the owners several times but heard nothing until morning, and they showed no interest in fixing things despite our requests for help. When we asked for our deposit back because our basic needs hadn't been met, they replied 15 days later that they had no obligation to refund it. A terrible experience. I wouldn't rent here again or recommend it.

Two days before I was due to arrive, the owner told me she knew nothing about my confirmed Booking.com reservation, was fully booked, and couldn't help. She said I should take it up with Booking.com and dismissed me straight away. Luckily, I had the confirmation and Booking.com sorted it out, but the way she treated me was awful.

The place was clean, nicely furnished, and looked good, which made the poor value for money a shame. The kitchenware and utensils were lacking, and the bathroom had neither a hairdryer nor a shower curtain. There weren't even dishwasher tablets, and getting in was awkward and uncomfortable. The person who welcomed us didn't know which apartment we had booked. The one we arrived at wasn't available, so we still don't know if we got the apartment we reserved.

We had partly paid for two apartments for the last week of May 2020, but the state of emergency meant we couldn't travel. When I got in touch, she asked me to wait a little while for the money back. Now it's nearly August, she avoids and doesn't return my calls, and has blocked me. If I call from another phone and tell her who I am, she hangs up.
