We got no refund or alternative solution after cancelling because an official red alert had been declared for severe weather and travelling was unsafe. I understand there are policies, but in an extreme situation like that, I expected at least a little common sense and consideration. Very poor handling and no empathy for customers.
The apartment has been renovated, though it still feels old, and the location is very good. There's paid parking nearby that doesn't cost much. The single bedroom is noisy and poorly soundproofed, and the pillows are very hard. The bathroom and toilet doors don't shut properly, so odors get out. There's also a locked room we couldn't access.
The location was good, but the bars next door were so noisy at night that we couldn't sleep. The service was awful too. There was no kitchen roll, barely enough toilet paper for eight people over three nights, and no hot water for our whole stay because we were left with two empty gas canisters. We couldn't get any help when we contacted them, so we ended up showering in cold water. They later offered a partial refund to improve their image, but only after waiting long enough that they seemed to hope we'd forget to leave a review.
We couldn't sleep because the windows were so poorly insulated, and the access was terrible. Basic things like toilet paper, clean towels, napkins, and soap weren't provided. Worst of all, we had no hot water, and they couldn't bring a new bottle for three days. They called us every day and tried to blackmail us into not leaving a bad review. I'd call this a SCAM.
Really clean apartment, with all the little details taken care of. It's a great place, and I'd definitely stay again.
