The cleaning was good, and the location is great, right in the heart of the old town. Our inner room faced the patio and was very quiet. But the service was terrible. For 90€/night, the rules made the place feel like a concentration camp. We weren’t allowed to eat in the inner patio, and the cleaning lady showed us where we were allowed to be. At 16:30, while I was having tea in that same patio, a hostel worker came and cleared everything away in front of me. We also weren’t allowed to have our children visit for an hour or two during the day, let alone stay overnight. This was only told to us verbally. No written rules with that prohibition were provided. I didn’t notice any effort to make our stay comfortable or even show simple warmth.

What a brilliant place to enjoy old Córdoba. Reception were excellent and helpful, and I’ll be back. The location is unbeatable, with history right on the doorstep and lovely shops and bars in every direction. Bodegas mezquita nearby was excellent, and there were lots of other bars around too. Despite that, my room was quiet enough in the evening for a good night’s sleep. I was upgraded when I arrived to a large, very clean second-floor room with a south-facing terrace. It had a huge bathroom with two sinks, a bath, and even a power shower. There was also a radiator, much appreciated in December. The sunny terrace looked out towards the mezquita and the streets behind it, and stayed bright through the day and into the evening. Is this really 2 star!?

Gema and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. There are loads of lovely places to eat nearby, and I definitely recommend Entreolivos on Cardenal Gonzalez street. It’s a short walk down the street from the door. Tell Tony I sent you. 😁 The place is right beside the Mezquite, one street up from the Guadalquiver and the Roman bridge, and a short stroll from all the points of interest. We had a room with a terrace, which was a fantastic bonus, though the other rooms looked nice too.

The hostel is right in the center of Cordoba, next to the mosque, and the rooms are cosy and clean. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. A great place to stay when you’re in town.

There are cafes, souvenir shops, and other attractions all nearby. The hostel is very close to the Cordoba Mosque - Cathedral, which makes it convenient if you’re planning to go for the free entrance from 8.30am-9.30am.
