Hotel Madinat

The breakfast was excellent and freshly made, and the location was perfect, just a five-minute walk from the Cathedral. With only 12 rooms, the care felt personal and real, much better than the stiff service I've often experienced at big luxury hotels. When my wife felt unwell, the staff went out of their way to help. The room was very clean and full of thoughtful little touches. Check-in was easy, and we got welcome drinks. For arrival, don't try to find an Uber at the train station. Let the hotel arrange a transfer; ours was seamless, with no noticeable extra charge.

The rooms were great, and it's superbly placed for food and sights in the old town. Parking in a nearby secure garage cost 18 euros a day, and the walk to the hotel with our cases was manageable. The concierge could know more about local restaurants, if I'm being picky. Highly recommend.

I booked Hotel Madinat at the last minute for two days in Còrdoba after the hotel I'd originally reserved turned out to be really bad. It was the best decision, and I'd absolutely recommend this place. The room was spacious, lovely, clean, and smelled heavenly. There were chocolates as a welcome gift and a great selection of complimentary tea and coffee. Online check-in made arrival easier and quicker. The rooftop was beautiful, perfect for an afternoon coffee or an evening drink. The location is ideal, close to the cathedral and within walking distance of everything.

The old town location was perfect, and the rooftop terrace gave us surreal 360-degree views over the town, including the Mezquita Cathedral a few hundred metres away. We sat there drinking wine as the experience sank in. We'll remember it for a long time. A few days before we arrived, Paloma sent ideas for things to do in Cordoba and directions from the train station. The streets are narrow, so I'd recommend booking their taxi transfer service. When we arrived, Paloma surprised us with a suite upgrade for my birthday. It was amazing, and we wished we could have stayed longer. Everyone on staff was wonderful, kind, and generous, especially Paloma. The hotel felt like stepping into another era, with old-world touches alongside modern facilities. We loved our stay at Hotel Madinat.
