The staff were pleasant, but the guest safety issues were ignored. There was no handrail on the stairs to the rooms, and the glass partition was loose and wobbly. If you get up early, the corridor is very dark, with no way to switch on the lights before going down those stairs without a handrail. I told the owner about these problems, but he didn't care. He said they'd never had a problem, so there was no reason to make things safer. I wouldn't recommend the hotel or return.

The owner/manager was very nice, the place was well maintained, and the bed was comfortable. Shower temperature and pressure were good. We stayed one night in a ground-floor room off an enclosed courtyard. It felt a little exposed, almost like being in the manager's office across the courtyard, but it was quiet at night, without disturbance from other guests or outside noise. Sleep was still difficult because the plumbing made a persistent hum. Lots of ants came in under the door from the courtyard, and, as others have mentioned, there was no minifridge. The hotel is a 15-minute walk from the mesquita. There's a free open-air parking lot not too far away if you can find a spot. The street outside smells sulphuric, though inside the hotel smells fine. Checking in after 8 pm costs an extra 20 euros.

Gerardo and Irene were perfect hosts, friendly and helpful, and gave very clear directions for reaching the hotel by car. The place is a calm oasis, with lovely rooms and a superb breakfast. We were grateful for the pool in the hot weather. It's a beautiful hotel close to Cordoba's main attractions. Thanks to you both for a really lovely stay. Highly recommended.

After full days walking around the city, we really appreciated the little swimming pool. The rooms were nicely and cleanly decorated. This is a fantastic, cozy little hotel with very nice staff, about a 15-minute walk from mesquita-cathedral.
