I stopped by in the evening on 1 March 2026, but it was already closed, so I couldn’t go in. The reconstructed columns on a platform looked quite new and seemed out of place beside the remains below. There’s an information board if you’re interested in Córdoba’s Roman history.

The Roman Temple ruins sit in the middle of a charming square, and you can see everything from outside without going in. It’s a nice spot for a quick break while visiting Cordoba.

On our first night in Córdoba, we walked past and saw the temple ruins lit up beautifully. We were there at night, so we couldn’t tell whether visitors can actually go in and walk around.

There’s an information plaque outside, so you won’t miss anything if you read it. The ancient Roman temple is well preserved, but there isn’t much else to see. If you happen to pass by, take a picture and keep going.

Antoine gave us a wonderful tour, and we learned a lot about Cordoba’s history and the Romans who lived there. At the moment, the one-hour tour is free.
