Right in the heart of Cordoba, which was great. The staff were friendly and helpful, but the bed was super uncomfortable.

May 22, 2025 update: Honestly, I’m pretty shocked by the hotel’s reply. 1. I wasn’t traveling with a partner. I visited with my family, and the person in question was a woman. 2. My family don’t speak English or Spanish, so I don’t even know what language she could have shouted in. 3. We didn’t shout or change rooms. We were fine with the room we got and stayed there for the whole booking. We were in 101. 4. We understand this is a two-star hotel and didn’t complain about any amenities. We were simply saying guests should be aware of the receptionist’s attitude. I didn’t say the hotel was bad. I hadn’t even noticed the difference until I saw how other guests were treated at checkout. A final thank you to the cleaning staff member who kindly showed us the way to room 101 when we were looking for it. _________________________________ Unlike other reviewers, I didn’t get any staff names, so I want to urge other ASIAN travelers to be aware of this difference in attitude. At first, I thought the receptionist was just tired from work. But when I checked out, I realized that wasn’t the case. He did take care of my requests to store my luggage and call a taxi. While I was standing there, though, I watched him warmly say goodbye to another couple and happily remind them of the staff names while asking them to leave good reviews. Once they left, his manner changed and he barely made eye contact with me. The location near the church is the only real plus. With the room, you get what you pay for at a two-star place. If you’re sensitive to smells, be aware that the rooms have one, though your nose gets used to it.

I booked with free cancellation through Booking.com and then canceled, but they kept €8 as a deposit. They haven’t replied to me, and Booking.com hasn’t been able to reach them either. They don’t answer them, so this feels like a scam. Be careful. To answer your question: why haven’t you replied to me or to Booking.com customer service? Why can’t you send us an invoice showing that you refunded the money to the bank? I called my bank, and there’s no refund from you.

The bathroom sink had a constant foul smell, like sewage, and it spread through the room. The staff tried deodorizer, but it kept coming back. If not for that, I’d have given five stars. Otherwise, we found the location really convenient. We walked to all the local sights, and restaurants and a Carrefour grocery store were only minutes away. The price was fair, and the English-speaking front desk staff were kind and helpful. Our bright first-floor room, European floor numbering, had a good view of the street below.
