We were traveling a long way with our pets after getting off a ferry and just needed somewhere convenient to sleep. The bed was comfortable, the sheets were crisp and clean, and I appreciated the blackout curtains. Unfortunately, black mold ran all along the window, and it really irritated my chest and upper respiratory system.

A good place to stop on the way to Bilbao. The morning drive to catch the lunchtime ferry took 2 hours and 30 minutes. Very dog friendly, and breakfast was a great buffet with hot and cold choices.

The restaurant and bar were great. The hotel was clean and nice, the beds comfortable, and the staff friendly.

We've been stopping here for years on our trips between Belgium and Spain. The ownership changed, and sadly the rating has gone down with it. We used to tell friends we'd found a four star hotel hiding behind a three star rating. Now three stars feels about right. The restaurant is still a highlight, and we booked a luxury room. But we were missing a bath sheet, and the hand shower only gave a weak stream of cold water, so I had to use the rain shower. There was paper in the shower tray, and management might want to look at how hard it is to get shower gel when the person is open very weak. We reported everything to reception as we left and said this would be their last chance when we return to Belgium. I hope they put things right, as we'd like to visit many more times.

The first room had a strong, acrid cigarette smell, so we asked to move. The replacement room was good. The restaurant and food were excellent, with plenty of choice and meats freshly barbecued by the chef to perfection. There was lots of parking, and the hotel was easy to find.
