A few days before my reservation, I was in a car accident. I contacted the hotel through the booking website but got no reply, so I called to ask about moving the dates. They canceled the reservation instead. I hoped they might refund the fee since the change was due to an accident. It wasn't a large amount, but it still mattered. I was really looking forward to staying, and hope nobody else has this happen when planning a visit.

The hotel looks new or recently renovated, and there's a very good restaurant right next door for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I was travelling alone for work, and my small room suited one or two people without much luggage. The location is excellent, with spectacular sunrise and sunset views. The west-facing windows mean the room warms up quickly, though there is air conditioning. Parking was easy in the port square beside the hotel, but I was told that during Easter week and in July and August parking there is prohibited. In those periods, you can only stop in front of the hotel for 15 minutes.

We arrived in the early hours, worried that checking in after hours might be a problem since I was driving from Pamplona. They helped us by phone and were very kind, and we got checked in. The location by the port is fantastic, and the bars are top-notch. There's also a churro shop next door with what I thought were the cheapest, most delicious churros in Spain. I hadn't expected much because of the price, but I was pleasantly surprised. Big bed, spacious bathroom, and hot water straight away. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Three stars for the price and location. The room was a little cubicle with no ventilation, a window that wouldn't open and faced an alley. It got so stuffy that even just sleeping there made me want to get outside for air as soon as possible. A smoke detector had a super bright green light aimed at the bed, which woke me and kept me up. The walls were all plasterboard, so you could hear absolutely everything.
