We couldn't sleep at all. There was a party at the open club beside the pool until 3 am, and it's owned by the same people as the hotel. They didn't tell us about it until we arrived. It felt like we'd been scammed. A very bad experience.

The pool looked inviting, though I never got around to swimming because I was out every day. The food looked good too, but I was away most of the time. I had a clean room with a comfortable bed, a nice balcony overlooking the pool, and plenty of free parking. The location worked well for me: the beach towns are only minutes away, and the beach is about 10 minutes away without paying beach hotel prices. Figueres, Roses, Barcelona, and Pubol are roughly an hour's drive. With a car, getting around to see the Dali sights is quick and easy. Hostal SolFina isn't a four-star hotel, but I had a four-star experience. It's not the Four Seasons, but you're paying less, so what do you expect? It depends on the kind of traveler you are. I enjoyed my stay and found it a great base for my Spain adventures.

The rooms were clean and the staff were nice. Still, at 110 euros a night I'd expect basics like soap or shower gel, and a shower that works properly. Check whether the club has a party before you book, or you might be kept awake until 3 in the morning.

We found it near Costa Brava and Marineland. The food was lovely and good value, and the staff were lovely too. There's also a nice pool, sitting area, and bar. Highly recommend it, definitely worth the trip!
