Sheraton Fuerteventura Beach, Golf & Spa Resort

We came back to Sheraton Fuerteventura after 11 years and still love it just as much. We couldn’t fault our stay and would happily return. The staff were wonderful, especially Tom, who always seemed to be everywhere and took time to chat warmly with guests. There was something for the kids all day and into the evening, which made the holiday relaxing for everyone. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast and dinner choices were excellent, with lots of options and very good quality.

We spent a week here and had a brilliant time. It was great fun, we met some friendly people, and the hotel did so much to make it a fantastic holiday. Our room overlooked the garden and had a huge, very comfortable bed. Outside, there was a large pool area with a jacuzzi, two heated pools, and loads of sunbeds. The food was great, and the staff really made the place special. We got a warm welcome and a glass of Prosecco, and the restaurant staff and activities team were lovely. A special mention to the brilliant Aaron, lovely Lorenzo, and the front of house staff. We could easily explore using the beach access and walkway to the shops, Salt Museum, and old town. There was plenty to do at the hotel too, including golf, gym, archery, aqua fit, yoga, and cocktail making. Just fabulous. I really don’t want to go home to Scotland!

It’s a wonderful hotel, with restaurants and great outdoor pools. Children have play areas and a splash pool to keep them entertained. I’m not sure if it’s always like this, but there were sunbeds available for everyone and the pool area never felt crowded. The location is excellent too, just 15 minutes from the airport. The only problems were on arrival. We got there late after a long journey and there wasn’t any food available, not even a snack. We were also told the spa was free to access and that treatments cost extra, but that turned out to be wrong and we had to pay for the spa. Otherwise, I highly recommend the hotel. One thing for first-time visitors to know is that the island is very windy.

We spent our evenings listening to live music and having drinks at the Piano Bar. Julian and Jorge at the bar became friends during the trip. They were fun, attentive, and kind about putting up with our craziness, though nothing too wild, just girls having fun! William deserves a special mention too. He was easy to talk to, always accommodating, and made us feel cared for throughout the stay. Some of us used to work for Marriott, so it was lovely to share stories and experiences with the team. You can tell when people really care about hospitality. Everyone we met made us feel right at home, and the whole staff were warm and welcoming. This was our first girls’ trip together and also a celebration of our 35th birthdays, so it means a lot to us and will always be a lovely memory. Sheraton Fuerteventura made it a really special, memorable trip. We can’t wait to come back!
