Camping Gavina

The site is a little isolated, with no bars or restaurants within an easy walk. Still, it's a very well kept holiday village, with clean facilities and a good bar and restaurant. We had a nice takeaway pizza.

We've been coming here since 2020, and the location, clean bungalows, facilities and helpful reception team have all been great. But the animation has gone downhill a lot since 2023. That July brought a completely new team with a very different style from the fantastic one in previous years, and I don't know why they changed it. In July 2024 it felt worse still. The mini disco is now only three times a week instead of every day, and the beach apero no longer happens. Mini club activities mostly suit little kids and are boring for 10-11 year olds. If a football game is scheduled but they decide there aren't enough kids, they cancel it without arranging anything else. The evening activities are often dull and don't draw you in, and what the team puts on feels low quality. Some outside shows are better than others. They've also reduced the number of chairs in front of the stage, so people had to stand when a show was good. Takeaway choices have been cut drastically too. The restaurant now only offers rice dishes to take away, though the whole menu used to be available. They said that's because there's another takeaway food station, but it was already there last year and has very little choice.

We've come here four times over the years, and it's a brilliant spot for a holiday break. Big shout-out to chocolata and his crew, especially Chocalata, who's one of the best. Most of the other staff are great too. Thanks for all the work keeping everything safe and for the wonderful time we've had here. I'll post again when I leave this time. 💖😃💪🌟

We had a fantastic stay in a beach cabin at Camping Gavina. It was clean, with a small kitchen that had what we needed for simple meals. In early June the fine sandy beach was beautiful, and the swimming conditions were great for families with children. Camping Gavina's bathrooms were modern and clean, with regular cleaning through the day. We never had to wait for the facilities, restaurant or supermarket. The on-site bar, restaurant and supermarket were enough for us to enjoy the stay without leaving the campsite. Nearby villages were quiet in the off-season, though Tarragona isn't far and has plenty of places to eat, so it's well worth a visit.
