Hostal Nou de Crespià

We were 12 and could cook meals together easily in the large, spacious kitchen. The common areas are especially nice for groups, and the house and grounds are very well maintained. We enjoyed the shaded porch for lunch and dinner, and the patio is spectacular. The pool looked lovely, though it was too cold for us to use it. It's a great place for children, with a safe area to run and outdoor games, plus loads of board games, so there's no need to bring any. Laura was a ten-out-of-ten host and took great care of us. I hope we can return!

We'd planned to leave our previous accommodation in a hurry and needed somewhere for seven people, including children and partners, plus two dogs. We thought we'd have to accept whatever was available, but this turned into a vacation of a lifetime. We were speechless when we first came onto the grounds. The enormous kitchen had absolutely everything we needed, and we cooked and ate like Spanish royals. There was so much space in the garden that we occasionally lost track of each other, and even the dogs. The pool was fantastic for spending the day lounging around. Every bedroom had its own bathroom, so there was no morning shower rush or squabbling over the last towel. The dogs had a blast, and we got to relax. Hostal Nou de Crespià wasn't a stopgap at all, it was a jackpot. We're almost glad our original plan fell through, or we might never have found this paradise.

The rooms upstairs were too hot for us, so I'd give that a 4.8. Everything else was perfect, and many thanks to Laura for being so available. All the facilities were there. Ideal for groups of up to 12 or 13 people.

Just got back from a weekend at Hostal Nou in Crespià. Laura and Quim have made it a perfect place for a family escape in an idyllic setting. We'll definitely be back!
