Apartamentos Rascacielos San Martin

There is an uphill walk to get to the apartment, but it's worth it. The location is excellent, just a couple of minutes on foot from Plaza Mayor, with lovely views from both the apartment and terrace. The place was a good size, high quality and had everything we needed. Felix was friendly and helpful, even collecting our luggage and driving it up after we'd parked. Very good value.

The owner was enthusiastic and helpful, and the kitchen had plenty of equipment. It's a nice apartment in a central spot, though the interior feels a little dated and the bed wasn't very comfortable. It was advertised as having a bedroom, but it's really one room combining the kitchen, living area and bed. The bathroom is separate.

Félix was a great help as a host. The apartment is an ideal base for seeing Cuenca and the surrounding area.

They take you to the parking garage without mentioning that it's paid. The apartment itself is pretty ordinary, and the sofa bed was awful, with metal parts pressing into you. The kitchen is tiny, and the cutlery and utensils weren't very clean. The bathroom cabinet behind the mirror was filthy too. Some details were missing: the saccharin left by the owner had expired in 2020, and the first-aid kit had only three items, including Betadine that expired in 2022. They also asked us for photos of our IDs and documents, which has been prohibited for a long time. Nothing special about the place, and I wouldn't recommend it.
