My daughter and I had a fabulous week in Cullera, and the trip to Valencia was easy. Buses, trains, and the metro run about every 15 minutes, and they're clean, reliable, and super cheap. It takes around 30 minutes by train to visit Valencia, while Cullera has beautiful beaches, bars, and a historic castle. At Hotel Libertado, Juan, his family, and the staff were fantastic. They were friendly, extremely helpful, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Our room was spotless, the beds were comfortable, the shower was brilliant, and we had air conditioning and free, secure, reliable WiFi. We didn't have any blocked sinks or drains, despite what some other reviews said. The hotel is close to shops and a great supermarket, and about five minutes from the beach. It's extremely good value, with a lovely personal, family touch. I agree with others that it deserves at least two or even three stars. Thanks, Juan, family, and staff. Clare and Loren

There are plenty of places to eat nearby, with lots of choice. Inside, the hotel is clean and comfortable, despite not looking like much from the street. The bed was comfy, the shower was nice, and we had a balcony overlooking the street, which was good for people watching.

Zero stars. The place was tiny, like 💩💩🤢🤮🤮🤮. I couldn't sleep because the air conditioning didn't work and there was noise.

It's an uncomfortable place and relatively expensive. The sinks had problems, and it wasn't quite clean.
